Our brief info

C Club, is a corporate social sports club established in 2011 and is committed to providing networking, health and leisure activities for its members and general public. C Club FC Uganda, won the 2025 CECAFA Wazee tournament in Arusha, Tanzania, clinching the third edition of the over-35s regional competition teams from Benin, Kenya, Rwanda and hosts Tanzania.

 

 

The Ugandan team, led by Club PatronMr, Mike Kajubi, Chairman Aaron Bugenyi and Chief de Mission Orwenyo Morris Gunya had a flawless run in Group B, edging ASEF FC of Benin 1–0 thanks to a goal from Abdul Kawuulu Mwanje, then repeating the same score line against Tanzania’s Gymkhana FC, with Mwanje again on the scoresheet.

In the semifinals, C Club beat hosts Arusha All Stars 2–1 with goals Abdul Kawuulu and Moses Sekito, while Kenya’s Railway Wanderers advanced after a 2–1 penalty shootout win over ASEF FC, following a 1–1 draw.

The final saw Mwanje score yet again, giving C Club the lead. But a miscleared corner gifted Kenya the equaliser, pushing the game into spot kicks. C Club kept their nerve, winning the shootout 4–3 to lift the trophy with clean spot kicks from Twesiime Liberty, Malinga Richard*, Maliyamungu Jamal, Sekito Moses and Katende Ronnie.

Mwanje finished as tournament MVP and top scorer with four goals, proving decisive in every round.

Arusha All Stars claimed third place after beating ASEF FC. Former champions CSK FC of Rwanda ended in fifth, their worst finish so far. The Rwandans had won the inaugural edition in Nairobi in 2023 and reached the final in Kampala in 2024.

Next year’s edition will be hosted in Kigali, Rwanda in June 2026.
